This weekend I went to Wise Surf Boards out by Ocean Beach with Brad to buy a new wet suit. The plan was to get suited up after and meet Beau for some surfing (my first in the Bay Area).
Unfortunately, there were surf advisories for the whole weekend (19ft waves, etc). I still got the wet suit, but watching the waves at Ocean Beach, it was definitely way too rough for someone who's just started surfing.
Instead, Brad and I met Beau at the Golden Gate Park Disc Golf course and played 18 holes of disc golf. It was a great day and I think all of us did really well (with a minimum tromping around in the rough looking for discs).
Afterward we rewarded ourselves with some beer in the outdoor section behind the Beach Chalet. With dog watching, people watching and some guy talk, it was the perfect afternoon.
